Positive: I spent two weeks traveling Portugal and the Azores and this was my favorite place that I stayed in! The staff was incredibly communicative and helpful- watching to see if our flight was going to be on time and adjusting to meet us later for the keys when the flight was delayed. They also carried my suitcase up the stairs, which I was not expecting at all, going above and beyond. The apartment was very clean and spacious. I sprung for the ocean view as an ocean-lover and was in awe each day at the view from my bedroom and from the balcony- with Mt Pico to one side and the ocean on the other! I had no issues with the A/C. I slept so well the first night (usually hard for me to sleep the first night anywhere different) that my family had to come knock on the doors to make sure I was alive. The only noise that I heard was the ocean waves lulling me to sleep and it was beautiful. The picnic tables by the ocean were perfect for an evening snack and glass of wine. The pool was too cold for me personally this time of year, but I saw another family with a few kids enjoying it! I only wish I had stayed longer to enjoy more of the additional services.

Negative: There were only two reasons that I did not give this property a 10. The first reason is that there was a decent amount of ants that appeared to get into the living area, even though I had no doors or windows open. I alerted the staff immediately and they were quick to take care of the issue during daily cleaning and it did not appear to be a problem the next day. The second reason is that the beds are more firm/springy and I know that impacts sleep for many people- personally, I like a bed that is firmer and the rooms are dark and quiet aside from the waves rolling in, so I slept beautifully, but my older parents struggled and felt more sore from the beds.

Summary: I would stay here every time I go to Pico, it was perfect for me!
