Summary: The location is nice if you like quiet places. There's nothing to do in the nearby village and nothing to eat either. So only go here if you like to stay at the hotel and eat in the hotel or use it as a hub for seeing the beautiful sierra da estrela national park. The staff is very nice and helpful, the breakfast is good, although it is not a buffet breakfast. The dinner is ok, but certainly not 5 stars worth and a bit overpriced. The rooms are at most 4 stars worth, but the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is small and dated and certainly not 5 stars, more like 3 stars. Overall we think the hotel should not rate itself 5 stars, 4 stars would be more appropriate. You can tell they're trying to be a 5 star, but they're not there, too many details missing for that. That being the case it is overpriced for what it has to offer. So if you're in the area it is a good choice, but we would be looking for something else in the area next time.
