Positive: This is a good location to access main sites in central Bangkok, close to the ferry and a short walk to the train station if you want to go elsewhere. Lots of good food options nearby, Chai is happy to give recommendations - ask him about salted pork for breakfast down the street. Short walk to Chinatown and Song Wat road. Free water - much needed in so hot a climate - clean bathrooms, free washer/dryer, fridge and other shared kitchen appliances.

Negative: If you're on the third floor the stairs a narrow and a little steep, so keep that in mind when packing.
