Our carefully renovated self-catering AzoresCasa was tastefully decorated, offering a cosy indoor and a striking outdoor.
The indoor comprising a living room with a sofa bed (sleeping 1) and a bright glass door looking over the lawn and ocean on the side; a connected small room where you can enjoy your late afternoon reading in a second sofa bed with comfortable pillows (sleeping up to 2 if needed); one bedroom with 1 comfortable double bed, a mirror wardrobe and window facing the ocean, a fully furnished kitchen with all amenities and a small bathroom.
The outdoor comprises a unique oceanfront/beach-side Mirante where you can sip cocktails at sunset or watch the ocean and the striking Azores sky at night. The property also offers you the shade of ancient trees where you can relax laying back in a hammock, a BBQ to grill all fresco mid Atlantic fish delicacies, and a small lawn to relax toasting the ocean views. From a small side gate you reach directly the volcanic sand of Populo’s Beach to promenade, swim…relax.

Casa do Mirante is one of the first Beach Houses to be built next to the little and family friendly Pópulo's Beach neighborhood in the 1940's.
Within less then 1km you have a supermarket, ATM, health center, church...
A fresh fruit and vegetable vendor passes by the gate once a week...a baker van rides the neighborhood every dawn so people have fresh bread suspended from their gates when they wake up.
91,5 metres from our gate there's a Beach Restaurant (Sunset) with delicacies from breakfast to dinner and cocktails at night!

We are 10,2km from the airport, very easy to find spot since everyone know (and loves) Pópulo's Beach.
From Ponta Delgada's center is a nice oceanfront 5,2km ride used by walkers, runners and bikers.
A taxi from the airport will cost about 15€.

Casa do Mirante is the real thing: just beside the ocean the waves sound is there. For most people the ocean sound will be great, but for the ones who don't like it ... I could ask the ocean to stop, but "he" might not listen :)
