In 1930, the villa was ordered to the famous archict Bonifaciao Fabiolo by the rich president of Portugal, Mandes Cabeçadas.
The President Cabeçadas, natif from the Algarve, built this outstanding villa to offer at the wedding of his favorite daughter, Isbella, as her «dream house on the nicest location in the Algarve».
Totally restaured and modernised in 1998 and then in 2104, the villa is used since for private guests.

Summary: We had booked our stay some months before our visit in Aug. I had initially requested when booking if it was possible to obtain a rate that would be relevant to 2 of the 7 bedrooms since my husband and I were only coming. We were told that was not possible. On the DAY of our planned arrival, I logged in to obtain the address and inadvertently hit cancel for the booking. I immediately messaged the host to say an error and we are surely still coming. She responded that she had thought we had canceled long before and the house was not cleaned and ready, and that she was thinking of bringing her family over to stay. I was insistent that the mistake to cancel was just made that MORNING while we sat at breakfast in Lisbon before driving down to the Algarve region. She communicated to her property manager (whose name was not the same as the welcome communication I received from VRBO!) to get the house ready - once we arrived, only 2 bedrooms were prepared for us, although at that point we had paid for the full house, so we were not happy. They clearly did a rush job to clean, and the kitchen had crumbs on the counter, where we noticed there were numerous tiny ants. The property manager came back to clean and spray the area, saying the neighboring property was likely the source. On another day, the property manager entered the property WITHOUT notice to us (!) to bring a welcome gift. The home itself is in a perfect location but decor is quite dated and not of top quality.
