Positive: We were looking for a place with a great view, and this house immediately caught our eye. It’s super spacious, with a fantastic outdoor area that kept our 2-year-old happily entertained. The sunrise view was an unexpected bonus! We had an issue with the coffee machine, but the hosts were incredibly helpful and replaced it — even on a Sunday! Check-in and check-out were both very easy. The location was perfect, just a short drive to Vila Baleira, the supermarket, playground, and beach. Though to be fair, the island is small — everything is just a quick car ride away.

Negative: The décor is outdated, but we knew that in advance from the photos. We didn’t use the shower in the downstairs bathroom, as it seemed the curtain wouldn’t hold the water well and might make a mess. But since we were just two adults and a baby, the upstairs bathroom was more than enough. If the owners ever consider renovating, this house could easily become a premium stay! The location, views, and space are already perfect. As suggestions, see-through railings around the garden would make it easier to enjoy the views from the lounge chairs or hammock, and a better railing on the upstairs balcony would make it safer for families with small children.
