Summary: We were a group of 7 friends (three couples and one lady on her own). We each had a double room with seaviews and all of the rooms were beautiful. The outside pool area was really nice especially as it has wonderful views over the sea and the town of Funchal which looked especially good at night all lit up. The games area downstairs was incredible and you can see a great deal of money has been invested in it as with all of the villa. The only negative was that it is extremely steep when walking from the villa to the bus stop, local restaurant or shop. This is typical of Funchal in general though as it is built of hills. We are all in our 60's and were puffing when we did the walk! Would be really hard with a pushchair. We tended to get a taxi into Funchal rather than the local bus because we didn't enjoy the steep walk. 0verall though this is a spectacular villa to stay in and all of us were delighted with the house and contents and said we would recommend it to family and friends.
